purpose: letterpress class at SAIC: i created a 2-sided card. one side being printouts of this piece, first letterpressed over a hand-painted piece of lucite with various tie-dyed simulated colors, secondly printed with the words "ACID" impressed into the thick card, then gluing a yellow tab at the "origin", located at the bottom left-hand side of the card. on the reverse side, i had custom type made of the scientific process of serotonin being withheld from the neurotransmitters, which were letterpressed over graph paper, along with a description of the process. so, in the end, you have got the scientific representation of the effects of a hallucinogen on one side and the mental representation on the other. |
